A Walk Through Tuileries

Well reality set in this morning as I was out on my morning walk here in NYC. I was walking down Park Avenue and passed a black suburban motorcade with police escort and an ambulance following behind. In the back seats were armed guards looking out the opened windows looking at those of us on the sidewalk . It was sobering. For those of you who are unaware the UN is in session this week and the city is under high alert. We surely are living in tumultuous times.
I am so grateful my faith is in the Lord God who gives me His peace and joy. I hope this painting of Tuileries gives you a sense of joy and peace of a relaxing summer day. I had fun painting it.

This watercolor is 7 1/2" x 8 1/2" It is $100 plus $10 SH

  1. Love this painting of the Tuileres Garden.
Ahhh UN week... I remember staying in a hotel where a UN dignitary was at the end of the hall. The guards stood outside the door 24/7 and never sat down. I was determined to see if I could get one to smile. Kinda like a guard at Buckingham Palace. So when I passed by I asked, "Don't you ever get to sit down". "No, mam". he said without a change of expression. "Well you must have very comfortable shoes I said".
And without blinking an eye he said, "Josef Siebel". and just continued a blank stare.
